Sabrage?

Sabrage is the act of opening a Champagne bottle with a sword or more specifically a sabre and, is most commonly performed at ceremonial occasions. The sabre is slid along the body of the bottle towards the neck. The force created when the sabre strikes the lip of the neck causes the glass to break cleanly separating the neck of the bottle form the cork and collar.
